Image00100Here at Millennium Ophthalmology, we are proud to offer State of the Art, No-Stitch cataract removal surgery.

Often as people age, their eyes may become cloudy. This condition is called cataracts, and they can make it difficult to see clearly.

For this reason, we are pleased to be able to perform cataract removal surgery. We use a local anesthesia to numb your eye before starting the procedure. Then we make a small incision on your cornea. Using ultrasonic waves to break up the cloudy lens, we are then able to suction the bad lens out.

After we remove the old lens, we replace it with a man-made lens to help your vision, though you may still require a new prescription for your glasses. There are some people who may not need distance glasses after the procedure.

Our entire office and staff are dedicated to staying on top of the latest advances so that we can continue to give our patients the care they deserve. We are always looking for new and better ways to perform cataract removal surgery.

If you have any questions about cataract removal surgery or would like your eye evaluated for cataracts, don’t hesitate to contact us today at (516) 371-1550.
